What kind of riding?

Getting started

Six kinds of riding, in plain words. Pick the one closest to what you do and it opens the builder made for that kind of bike. Nothing is saved, nothing is signed up for, and you can come back here and pick a different one at any time.

Pick the one that sounds most like you

What happens when you pick one

Each link opens a parts builder for that kind of bike. You pick parts and it compares the published specifications of the parts you picked against each other as you go, with a running price and weight. When nothing conflicts it says “No conflicts found”, which means no conflict among the dimensions it checks rather than a guarantee that a build is right. What we check, and what we don’t spells out both halves.

None of this is a judgement about which bike suits you. Nothing here reads your height, your fitness or your local trails, and no builder is a better place to start than the others. If two of the six sound about equally like your riding, either one is a fine place to begin.

If none of these fit

These six are the builders that exist today. If the riding you do is not among them, there is no builder for it here yet, and pretending otherwise would waste your time. About BuildMyMTB says what the project is and how to reach us.
